i cant believe

I didnt turn out at all today, your on the east coast like me and were going to be hit hard today! I work in shipping so I got a pre weather warning for today, gale force winds and rain to hit our coast. My mares in with hayleag and a fleece stable rug

Am right on the coast so the wind and cold will get us more.
Such a horrible day. I havent yet got all full stable rugs out yet just fleeces and light weight turn out but I dont think it will be long before theyre un wrapped, need to get girly a new hood for the winter, am tempted to get a full snugg rug, anyone got one of these?

it as so bad last night! mine went out in a mw/hw with a neck in the gales and pouring rain..poor thing! i think we will be turning him round sooner than we think!

i think ill get an underrug for underneath my 200g

but it needs washing and fixing

dont know whether i should get a 300g incase i clip out??
quite like the shires and joules ones

i have a 200g black masta quilt and then i put on either a fleece or a stable rug...

unless its really cold i put on a 100g over the top of the quilt

Gosh, mine are standing out in the sun boiling their silly brains out! I'm hoping not to need rugs until at least November and them just rainsheets to stop them getting wet. We have similar weather here to the UK (obviously not at the moment!) and last winter we had about a foot of snow.

Isn't it such depressing weather! Zippy has spent most of the summer (since april when they went out 24/7 ) in his rain sheet. Went into his winter m/w on monday as he was stone cold in just the rain sheet. Hasn't been out of it since. And its only september. I too am debating clipping, new rugs etc. - as if winter isn't already long enough without it starting earlier than usual. I assume that when the met office made comments about a 'barbeque summer' they meant british barbeque weather - bl**dy p*ssing down!

No rugs for me yet I want him to get his coat through first. He was stood out in the pouring rain yesterday evening but plenty warm with no rug. Had to put him in today as the ground around his stable is puddles and I am trying to keep a poultice dry...so he is in but no rug. Dont want to rug until October realyl.
