I cant find a horse for loan anywhere!!!

Hey everyone

I am having big trouble trying to find a horse for loan any idea where I can look for one? I've searched the internet for days and its heart breaking I wish I could find something

Local free adds seem to be a useful place to find loan horses as do adverts in tack shops etc.

Most people seem to stipulate that the horse must stay on present yard or in the area so looking locally seems to be the best way to go.
 
ooo thats a good idea!!!! well i want the horse to come to me we got a 5 star place but some people arent keen ive had two now on trial and they both been wrong for me and nutters then i was supposed to get another one tonight and she decided to keep him becoming heart breaking

anyone got a 15hh+ any sex/breed available lol
 
If mine was going on loan I'd want him to stay where he was, at least for a while til I could see how they were getting on and that I was happy with the standard of care etc.

You could try putting ads up yourself, saying you're looking for something on loan. You will need to be specific though, not just say "anything 15hh+" as people will want to know your experience.
 
I found mine through my RI as it's one of her horses, obviously she knew my level of experience well before hand so that was an added bonus. (It's private yead, not a riding school though, as he is NOT a riding school kinda horse!)

I was lucky when I got mine on loan as an owner I got to know on the yard knew the daughter of the lady wanting to loan a horse out. The minute I knew about the horse I rang up and had a look and ride and wanted him instantly. Now 9 months I love him to bits ( mind you I did from the start lol). It could be worth asking around on a few livery yards near you to see if anybody knows of any.
Also pop into tack shops as some may have notice boards and you could see some there.
Other than that it is the usual places, like the press, internet and word of mouth really.
