I can't use my shires weight tape.

My 15hh old thinish mare meausre up as a 16.3 shire on steroids. Why is it so hard?

I followed the instructions on the tape, and it doesn't work. One of us is defective... sadly it may be me.

If anyone could offer advice i'd be grateful.

Ha ha - I made exactly the same mistake and felt equally 'stupid'!!!

The weight tape also doubles up as a height measure, so just ignore the height numbers as they do not correlate with weight at all.

The only numbers you need to look at are the kgs/lbs so just ignore the height ones.
