rofl... when we get some good weather please may i come and camp in your field and play with the devil... much more inviting than my 16hh ! (im only 5"2)
Hehehe. That is so funny - I know how irritating it must be....my one (14.2) does similar things - can limbo anything, pull an entire stable down and then be fine. Best was where I was pulling her mane (hates it anyway)...she was giving me a foul look.....then barged me into a wall so I couldn't reach her mane. So....gave her a good slap as really hurt and lost temper a bit....and she did it again. At which point, she calmly started munching on her hay.
Needless to say, I have been trimming it instead ever since.....(except the last time she was sedated...oh...and when I am riding I sometimes get a bit before she threatens to fall over from the pain....wimp!)
No they're not!! I have a rising 3 year old gelding - 16.2 NOW and 10 inches of bone - his resemblance to a brick outhouse is uncanny! And HE pulls up all the electric posts with his teeth! AND does a pretty good line in walking over the top of you!
His field was SO ghastly today that I felt sorry for him - or rather, for his rising 4 half-brother - and brought them both in overnight as we have the farrier to trim them tomorrow prior to moving them to a new (drier) field. Was he appreciative of a warm stable and a dry bed and a HUGE pile of haylage that wasn't sitting in mud?? Was he HECK! If the stable is still standing tomorrow I'll be surprised (and impressed!)
And I sure as hell wouldn't try kicking HIM in the stable!

I'd be happy for you to come and 'play' with her- I'm 5'2" as well, it makes no differece what size you are to her

he very carefully, using her teeth pulled up each post not touching the electric tape and just dropped it on the ground. She did not take her eyes off me the entire time she was doing it.

Thats the funniest thing Ive heard in a long time! OMG what an attitude she's got!
If she's a shetland, how tall are your posts?! My shetland couldnt reach the top of my higher electric posts! Does she have a giraffe neck?!

we could only afford the short - 3 foot posts when we moved in here (and Jack is a good lad and stays in the field even she pulls the fence down) and as Jack is scared of tape and she was rolling under the post and rail and going free range where we were, we thought the shorter posts would be good as she couldn't get under them. She was jumping over at one point....
