I've relied on you wonderful people to help me start our barefoot re-hab, I have panicked a lot, asked a ridiculous amount of questions, and swung between I know what we're doing and sheer terror at her feet falling off more times than I can remember :o.

Yesterday, after upping her Prascend for a week or so, we did our first hack barefoot with no boots without her taking a single ouchie step :lol:. I'm so happy I could burst she feels fabulous and if her field antics are anything to go by she is feeling about 20 years younger!

Naked feet doing our bit to support team GB

Thank you, all you fabulous people who encouraged me down this route, me and Doodle are very thankful!

That's brilliant! It was this forum (and especially Ester I think) that encouraged me to try barefoot with my boy and it made a world of difference to him.

 All I really did was insist the shoes came off and listened to her :o.

We have been tardy about little and often walks over different terrain, we have been so thankful to have her in the field I haven't restricted her grass intake, and we have been using boots to let her go for hoolies :o, I have been rubbish at doing a proper re-hab but somehow this amazing little horse has come through it all bouncing :).

So pleased to hear it! I'm certainly glad the main summer grass boom is over.

My boys feet are pretty good, it's the rest of his body that's knackered.

Yes to be honest we're glad too, going down to 5 horses from 10 we've had so much grass it's ridiculous, but thankfully for everyone's waist lines it's at a more manageable amount now :o.

Bless him, wonky legs and wonky hormones here but 7 months have helped the legs and medication is helping the hormones! I have everything crossed for you both.
