Sorry bit of a pointless post but had to share this.
To cut a long story short, after almost a year of not riding and the loss of my beautiful girl and having my confidence totally shattered, I finally got back on a horse today. Not just any old horse though, this was a 18.1hh giant with a HUGE! trot.
Have to say he was a real gentlemen and I had a grin from ear to ear.
I even tried a trot on him.
This was all the fault of my daughter and her instructress.
Daughter was having a lesson on him to improve her seat and balance - no stirrups, or reins and lots of trotting and doing exercises at the same time and when they were finished they persuaded me to get on him.
Was a very long way up and even more looking down!
Now been persuaded to have a 15 minute lesson on my seat and balance on him every week to build up my confidence again.
I realised today how much I miss riding (and my girl
).
Lets just hope I don't fall off as at my age I don't bounce I break!
who knows where this will lead!
