I did my first Dressage test today!!

However I gave myself a goal of getting over 50% which I did on both the prelim 7 & 13 (I got 51.5 & 51.6!!).

I am pleased as anything as I had set myself the goal of doing a Prelim by September - so I am 3 months ahead of schedule! I was really nervous, which made K quite tense. but I got some really nice comments from the judges and was really chuffed! All experience eh?!

This is pretty pointless post really, but it is nice to be able to share things like this on here!

Awww well done!!!! I remember my first intro.. not so fondly!!! Getting over 50% in your first go is really good. EEk me and the Padmeister have our first prelim tom.. hmmies!

were you at Pachesham too today? They did 7 and 13 too so we may have seen you! Mine where the chestnut and dark bay....
 
I came last in my first and only test so far with exactly 50%, I didn't have a target except just get through it, got some nice comments though just need to sort out the tenseness!

RedMerl - Haha it was only 1.5 & 1.6% over - but the first number was a 5 so it definitely counts! I bet you'll do great!

Golddustsara - I read your post, don't be nervous - you'll be brilliant, I just wish I'd had a bit more time to warm up for the first on, but Good Luck!

ParkRanger, no, I was at Merrist Wood, it was me whose naughty horse wouldn't go back in the Lorry! He frightened himself going in and nearly fell up the ramp so wasn't too keen on getting back in bless him! How did you do at Pachesham?

Dozziesmummy thank you! I am going to keep all my score sheets so I can monitor how we are doing.
