Spotted a little rope halter in the saddlery today, thought I'd see what else they had, so asked to see their pressure halters...
Rope halter was 7 quid.
Showed me one to stop them rearing, nine pounds with basically an extra loop of rope over the head.
Then he tentatively(and I mean tentatively!) brought out a dually, the headcollar with a small extra bit of rope over the nose.
The price?? FIFTY quid! I was just like not a chance! Even the shop assistant wasn't pushing it at all and the look on his face as he brought it out said it all.
I bought the rope halter, and been working with it and its been fabulous.
Anyone care to explain the 43 pounds different???

No but I can beat the lowest price, bought a load of Cattle halters at GYS year before last at £4 each! With a small amount of modification they fit all from the 17hh shirexclydesdale to the 14.3 cob.

Mine cost me less than £1 each - I bought the rope and a friend tied them for me, you can get instructions on the internet.
