Thanks to my horses wonderful sense of humor he has managed to turn himself out this afternoon, after I had bought him in i might add, anyway turned himself out, i came round from doing the DIYS and found him clattering round on the concrete standing cow kicking, bucking , rearing, squealing with excitement etc. Once I had managed to catch the bu**ering thing found he was totally hopping lame. Vet was coming out to hoof test a DIY anyway so asked him to have a look at the nag, verdict is he has twisted his fetlock. Just as i was trying to get him fit for camp in 6 weeks. And then to top it all off the bl**dy vet kindly informed me i should be 'more careful' where i leave him. THE THING WAS IN ITS STABLE FOR CHRISTS SAKE!!!!!
Sorry about the rant and the language guys! Vet has put him on bute and box rest to be walked in a straight line for five days.

You should see the cuts on my horse's legs after she decided if she couldn't open the gate she'd go through it instead!

LOL don't you just love the way they 'earn' themselves a holiday right when you want to start working them!

You wanna borrow my veteran Section D who lets himself INTO his stable when he reckons someone ought to be making him a dinner about now????? Lol!!!! And that's with just 1 eye! I reckon if he still had his other eye he'd let himself into YO's kitchen and brew himself a hot choccy when the feeling took him!

ah you must be so proud....
one yard i worked at had a new cob which they were selling on. well one day he got hungry and broke the wall down and had a great time in the feed shed. i have no idea how we came down to feed brekkie and there were all the breeze blocks all over the place!!

So far yes, but I'm afraid mine is just as bad, she is a Tb x Nf! had new saddle fitted in the last fortnight after about a month and a half off waiting for said saddle, and night before last she managed to get cast and has torn her hocks to shreds!
Hope yours is ok soon

we have sliding doors on our yard and the section d across from mine manages to open the gate with her bum! she now has to have a chain across her door with the door shut and a head coller holding together the bars to the next stable so she cant get it open!
