I've just extracted the dogs from the garden where Islay was busy trying to burrow under a rather nice Hebe bush.... which I have concluded is where the bl**dy STUPID hedgehog lives

Not content with snuffling incredibly noisily around the garden last night at stupid o'clock and winding the dogs up then, it is becoming the bane of my life

Dont get me wrong, I love hedgehogs and think they are incredibly sweet, I do not wish any harm on it at all - I just wish it would go and live somewhere else

Well, you know the way they are round and ball-shaped?

Can you put on a pair of gardening gloves and pop it into next door's garden?
Our hog never came back after Dexy decided to treat it like aforementioned football.

**disclaimer** I know nothing about hedgehogs and their breeding seasons or if my suggestion is tantamount to hideous cruelty, if so, Splotchy, ignore me!

Maybe ring somewhere like Tiggywinkles and ask their advice. Lay it on a bit thick about how it is in danger from your over inquisitive and ferocious hounds!!

Sorry no advice to offer, but I can sympathise. Years ago our stud dog used to have a "pet" hedgehog. He used to go down the garden every morning and find this damn thing, and then start pushing it with his nose trying to get it to play (he was the original nice but dim!). It was a pain cos he used to pick up fleas from it, and it never looks good when your dog is mating a bitch and fleas join in the proceedings

I think eventually the hedgehog got the message cos he didn't seem to be able to find it any more, poor lad was most upset.
