I just can't decide if I should try & sell my mare or not ...
How do you know when you should sell a horse?

After writing, I realised that sounds like a stupid question, hope you understand :\

Well i realised mine when i thought to myself could she make someone else just as happy as or more happier than i am and could she be enjoyin herself somewhere else and making the most of life. if the answer is yes then maybe its time :( goood luck xx

It is not a stupid question, but i am curiouse as to why you were thinking of selling, if you can't make a decision, do you have to??

When you weigh up how happy your horse makes you and vice versa - which does include not worrying yourself to death over the financial aspects. If your horse still has a career ahead of it, but is becoming a chain/chore to you, then its time to sell. Best piece of advice I was ever given was that it costs as much to keep a bad horse as a good one. And by "bad" this means not right for the owner, not necessarily a bad horse!

You could write a pros and cons list, weighing out whether she's the horse for you. You could always loan her out in the mean time and see how it runs? If she's getting on well and you also are doing better then the decisions practically made! :) hope you make the right decision xx
