I don't like the new forum set up

No I think generally it is better, much more modern.

You will get used to it, and then you'll probably like some of the new features. Anything in particular causing you trouble????
 
How can I change my forum name back to what it was?

Im pretty sure its me being a grouchy old get and not being a fan of change, sure i will get used to it just trying to figure it all out! :)
 
You should have sorted that before the migration really, there was a sticky about it, but if you email admin they will sort it.

vBulletin doesn't have a separate user name and screen name, so if your username and screen name were different then you had to ask admin to change it. Once admin sort it you will have to log in with your screen name instead.
 
I personally really like it, much more like a lot of other forums I am on...... :)

Doesnt matter what Admins/Board managers do, someone isnt going to like it, and its going to take time to get used to.... in a couple of months everyone will have forgotten the old style and be well and truely used to this one :)
 
Nah, been on it about 3 times today and am still not liking it. Not sure why you can't just change your own username - seems like something simple that it should be capable of letting you do. Change isn't always better I'm afraid.
 
I'm struggling to find something to like at the moment. Its slooooow and because there are so few posts/page you just seem to be waiting all the time.

We will see, maybe it'll kind of grow on us eventually

At least I have my name back :grin:
 
I thought one of the reasons for updating was to speed things up but everything seems much slower atm. It also seems much more complicated to navigate from thread to thread (unless that's just me?).
 
QR- Been on & off the forum a few times today and I'm not liking it either. The posts in each section eg- NL etc don't seem to be in the order they were posted?? It's like they jump around. I liked the old forum cause I could pick up from where I stopped reading.. Oh and it took me 2 attempts at figuring out how to reply... I'm about t find out if it worked, haha!! Wheres the smilies?!

However, I cannot see the threads in thread posted time order, without the hassle of having to change it each time! That it changes itself every single time you post as well is just an added pain.

I'm all for change when it is for the better!
 
ahhh embrace the change, change is good, change is refreshing. If life stayed the same there would be no progression, even if sometimes it looks like its a bad change!! I think its a bit more slick and I havent found anything to be lacking yet!
 
Hi all, I don't think I like this very much :( I have lost my avatar, so had to put a new one on, that took ages and it wouldn't let me to start with. I hope I get used to it, but don't like the way it jumps about. Ho Hum
 
Seems very slow for me too.

I have trouble finding the text in each message as it's the smallest and least obvious thing of all the massive buttons, links, names, etc. around it! Bad layout in my opinion and not very accessible.
 
not a fan either!! i also don't like that we are all either junior oe senior members rather than old hand, addict etc!!! this new forum gets thumbs down from me im afraid!!
 
TBH I hated the setup of the old board, which is why I wasn't around much.

The search function drove me insane - you couldn't just search the forums, but the whole of the site, so of course there were hundreds of threads all on the same topics!

I like this one much better, though I still don't like the colour scheme - too corporate and unfriendly! And it's more in line with other forums, so generally it's much easier to navigate.

A thumbs up from me!
