...I've just had all the rugs brought out of the box room - and put in our bedroom :eek:. It's only because I am being a lazy ar$e and am still in bed, but want to see what we have (and Oh Goodness Me! We Have So Many!!!).

Think I need to get thems shifted..., but there's too many to go in one trip in the car (Dizzy has eight rugs and that's not counting whatever is at the yard).

Oops.
 
I hope you have kept some hidden incase the OH sees how many you truly have, otherwise there will be a lot of "oh this ole thing" going on! :)
 
There are nineteen rugs in here....

There are eighteen rugs at the yard...

There is one rug at the saddler's being fixed.


We have thirty-eight rugs for four horses. This does not include (six) exercise sheets.


One horse is clipped.


They all live out 24/7.

Slinky do I remember you living near me (Cambridge)? I have a zillion rugs which are disgusting. Do you want to wash them?
 
I had a sort out a while a go, and found I had LOADS of rugs from horses/ponies we no longer have, my solution ..... convince my husband we need another horse, and hey presto the rugs are then needed. :D

He did ask if that was per horse lol
 
Excessive saddles, my boss has 22 in his tack room, 2 horses in work, only 1 saddle fits the 2 horses, and he wont ride in that as it is a dressage saddle!!!

Definately a new furniture line coming on here, saddles for stools, rugs for table cloths etc etc!!!
 
Charlie has 11, with another one ordered and on it's way....and one on my christmas list!!! That's all since May. I have an obsession. (Oh and headcollers and leadropes!! got tonns)
 
Belle is unclipped and lives out 24/7 - I have 6 rugs for her. That includes a fleece rug which I use occasionally and a stable rug which came with her and I just keep in case she is ill and has to go inside. My Mum seems to think that this is a ridiculous amount and forever teases me about it!!

Please can someone tell her that I'm not insane and there are people who collect far more rugs than me? :p
 
Ummmm made me smile Mrs M, I used to collect shoes, now I collect rugs, you can imagine how many we have got for 6........

Thought I would be good this year, so when D_K clipped 3 last week I put 'older' rugs on them, thinking that they could wear these out before using the shining new ones, D_K wasn't impressed, 'why had I put those old (but clean!) rugs on his lovely shiny clipped horses?', now when I buy a new rug its the end of the world........

Did some virtual, in my dreams, Premier Equine shopping while bored in this weather, to kit out 5 in the rugs I desire, (PE dont do anything to fit the 11hh) it will cost £1700:eek::eek::eek: Don't think that will be happening:D:D

including fly rug and string vesty-cooler and exercise sheets if that makes it any better? No? :o Thought not :p
 
I darent even count how many rugs I have but its easily over 10rugs per horse! & i had 8horses at one point :s So hmmm.... I think I may have a rug addiction :p but i refuse to sell them as 3 (of the 6 we now have) are growing youngsters. I have a rather good range of rugs from 28" dog coats to 7'3 turnouts!! Im prepared for any new additions!

I went to Eland Lodge today (very good Christmas Fair there today :D). There was a rug. A very nice Mark Todd rug. A heavyweight turnout with a full neck.

I liked it.

A lot.

But D1 wouldn't let me buy it! :eek:
 
I have ... let me think ...

10 rugs for 1 horse - 3 turnout, 4 stable, 2 fleeces, 1 mesh cooler.

Although one of the stable rugs is to get chucked because it's knackered, and I'm planning to make one of the fleeces into an exercise sheet, so we can discount those 2 ... OK, I may be making excuses now :p
 
Cappy has around 14. Even Fany has 3 and she doesn't really wear them, she is a cold blood and an overgrown Shetland! So you are not the only one. I am a bit addicted I think, E. moans if she catches me looking to at more.

My boy has about 14 rugs, which seems minimalist compared to some of you lot!! :p What's more worrying is the amount of tack I have for my 1 pony...
 
Am i the only person on here that has only 4 rugs for my horse :-O a cooler, a stable rug, a medium weight and a heavyweight!! Hmmm i never really thought about it as she is on loan to me so havent gone too shopping crazy as she never really seems to need much!! She is a good doing hardy thoroughbred!

My other horse Paddy however (who is out on loan) has..... 1 mesh cooler, 3 fleeces, 2 stable rugs, 1 lightweight, 1 meduim weight, 2 heavy weights! so thats 10 in total.....phew i feel better now!!!
 
Skychick_ no your not the only one, I was just thinking god everyone has loads of rugs and I have 6!!! 4 turnouts (2 of which are a little on the small side and look like patch work rugs!) and 2 stable rugs!!! Think I need to do some more shopping :D
