...not from her field, anyway! Unexpectedly, we didnt get back til gone 9pm last night, so I had to go and get her in in the dark with a torch (we live in the middle of nowhere so dark = pitch black

) She snorted as soon as she saw me, then started careering around with her tail kinked over her back. I opened the gate and aimed the torch at the floor, but she wouldnt come to me, and when I went to move towards her, she dashed away with her eyes rolling - it was as if she didnt believe it was me! I followed her round for a bit, but she wasnt having it, so I said 'Stuff ya!' and went to walk away. This calling-bluff trick always works in daylight, and I think she twigged then, as when I got to the gate, I felt a nose over my shoulder

She was then very spooked about being rugged up and fed by torchlight! Evil mummy

My OH and I got back to the yard late the other night and as we walked home I wanted to show him the point-to-pointer who looks utterly ridiculous in a baby blue fleece ATM.

We pointed the torch into his stable and, normally a bold inquisitive horse, he shot to the back of his box and hid in the corner, snorting. I felt really guilty
