Kellys Heroes

A few years ago, I had a relatively bad fall off Kelly out hacking round one of our usual routes - it goes down past the farmhouse, round the fields, through the woods at the bottom of the lane and back up the lane.
She spooked at something, reared and I lost my balance and knocked myself unconscious for a few seconds (had a hat on thank god!). Came round to see her bolting off down the lane towards the house, I managed to get up, blood all over my hands and face rang the YO to catch Kel and by the time I got back, she was a state, dog lame and sweating, all her legs were cut open.
Turns out she'd got caught up in the barbed wire and let all the sheep loose
oops! She was fine after a few days, I still have problems with my shoulder from it, but was just cuts and bruises.
I've never been back down there - until today...schooling Kellys' mum's other horse (lol did you follow that..!) and her heart wasn't in it so I decided to just go for it. My heart was in my mouth all the way round and we had a few little spooks, but we did it!
It was even quite windy!
So very proud of myself!
