With the glorious weather set to continue into the weekend I feel a pub hack coming on and was wondering who thinks they have the best pub to ride to? I’m very lucky to have pubs with ‘horse parks’ and tie rails accessible from farm tracks. I reckon you can’t beat a pub lunch with your best friend grazing next to you in the sunshine.

Well I won't be nominating the one in a village we ride through! 3 of us stopped the other year and ordered plates of sandwiches and drinks - all the grumpy landlord could say was "I hope you aren't taking up spaces in the car park"! As a matter of fact no we were out on the lane, the horses were attracting people to the pub by them coming over to say hello and we were actually spending money with him.

That was it though, he's lost our custom.

I always thought my RS should do an "own a Pony day" for adults, which should have a pub ride for lunch. Problem is, there are so many pubs within hacking distance, it would turn into a mounted pub crawl. I think at least one of the pubs is a meetup/starting point for one of the local hunting groups (have no idea which, and I don't know what the correct wording is in that situation, pelase don't shoot me) so I imagine they'd be quite welcoming.
Unfortunately, I don't go there anymore and my share horse is stabled in the middle of flaming nowhere so no mounted pub crawl for me! :(

Can't really see why this would be a problem? ;)

A lot of our local pubs and bars have tie rails and greens outside, since we're in a very horsey area.
Sadly it's Autumn here now, but it's still going to be warm enough for a little while
