I had the back lady out to the Destroyer last night as whilst he's been an angel to school recenlty he hasn't felt quite "right".
She found he was tense thorugh a band of muscle in the centre of his back and so suspected the saddle waqsn't sitting correctly. However on examination the saddle is perfect which confused her until she asked me if I ever lose my stirrup. My answer was yes occasionally and I know I collapse through my right rib cage and right hand side of my back (I've got two buggered discs).
It appears its me thats caused hovis to have a problem. I feel so awful. She sorted him out, has said it really wasn't bad and has given me some exercises to work on. Bless him he was good as gold through the whole thing even though he was obviously sore and when I think how well he's been schooling I feel really ashamed.
I am a bad mother....

Aww you're not a bad mum at all, you felt something wasn't quite right and acted on it - sounds like a pretty good mum to me. I often worry about George's back with me trying to hang on up there!

Oh you're so not a bad mother, don't be ridiculous. You're a good mother for getting the back person out knowing that he wasn't right and doing something about it.

Whether or not your riding caused it doesn't matter - you recognised a problem and dealt with it, and I can bet my bottom dollar you'll be careful and sort out your collapsing ribcage now too!
