Gorgeous George

I feel absolutely awful and really guilty, today was our first day of improving George and my fitness and reducing our waistlines a little. So this evening I spent a good 10mins warming up in walk, and then instead of our usual trot a bit, stop a bit we trotted for 5mins solid on each rein with a little walk between reins and George was very good
I then decided 2-3mins of canter to start with as we probably only do 2-3 circuits normally. Did this on the left and George was a star and I was suprised at how fit and willing he was
, then the same on the right he started to get a bit unbalanced so I bought him back to trot and as I did I realised he was lame
I stopped straight away and got off.
Luckily my friend was at the yard, and had a look, and we trotted him up. She said it looked like he was 3/10 lame on his near fore. He wasn't really lame in walk just a little tentative. We checked his feet and legs and couldn't find any heat or swelling.
I feel awful, like I have made him hurt himself by working him harder
also despite my friend telling me not to worry I am, and I have everything crossed that it is just a knock and nothing awful. So if you could send George some vibes I would be very grateful.
