I miss my little pony, I always felt I could ride him

And now I feel like some days I can ride, and everything goes really well ... then others I feel like I can't ride and want my pony back again

Ponies to horses is a big step, and I think that people should stick with ponies for as long as possible

Any CC to improve and feel like I can ride again - not very confident about JAS- likely to go terribly wrong

Ho Hum

Everything gets easier with time - I regularly get stuck in ruts! My flatwork is fab atm but my sj needs a lot of work because I panic! Don't worry

I have had the same problems but I'm finally think I'm starting to get to grips with them, I've had one for 18 months and the other 12 months but only gave up my little ponio in Oct! I think you'll find it it will click all of a sudden and get easier

Your horse is lovely btw, how long have you had him?

E, PLEASE change your saddle, it really doesnt do you any favours- do think that it is throwing you off balance and I think any of us would not be very comfortable in it. Sorry I have to be honest here cos I am so certain it is not you!

I think you may have a point - the funny thing is, i feel quite secure in it a lot of the time. I am going to see how it goes at JAS, and then maybe try my GP on him. It fits him well enough though. I now have a breastplate that works so it sits better of Haddy too.

I do agree though, it doesn't look quiute right

i agree,
i miss my 14 2hh
horses are much harder!
the sj is starting to click in plain sj comps,,,but i bet as soon as i get to an event,,it will go bkwards cus im more concerned about doing well at eventing,,more nervous,,more pressure...etc
what are your times for JAS?

LOL We will have to do that sometime - but you sit on Haddy first and we go on to yours

I am meant to be at 10.17, but have asked to go last and that is fine, so will be at 11.30ish

I spend my whole life feeling like I can't ride! I think it's a big step from ponies to horses....and before long you'd have been knocking rails down with your feet if you hadn't moved to something bigger, so really, you had no choice!!

It just takes time to get to grips with horses.

I still ride my old 14.2, who I gave up in 2007, steal it from my cousin when ever possible and pop it over 3''6 showjumps.

Stick at it, its not long until you can have fun eventing now!
