I feel privileged

OMG. That's properly grand :D I hope someone caught that on camera? What a legend :D

It IS a modified xc course  I think he's right there :D

I think I have a video somewhere - a rather shaky video as the person filming couldn't stop laughing. T always looks so pleased with himself when he picks things up I can't actually tell him off for it :o

Thank you Vetwrap - he is a very special boy :)

I would love to see that some time if you ever feel like uploading it :) What a character :D

It must be wonderful to have such fantastic surroundings to ride in. Where I am, although there's some lovely countryside, the riding's all on roads which have a fair amount of sometimes very fast traffic on them.

It sounds blissful where you are.

It is great, but then the yard is a 20/25 minute drive away from home. You can understand why I think it is worth it though!

T is very, very good in traffic (in fact I used to let him be used for the BHS riding and road safety awards) and I have had him at yards in the past with mainly roadwork, but after some idiot driver 'didn't see him' I have valued off road riding rather more!

How we could write off a car and walk away with no more than a couple of scratches I'll never know..

I'm the opposite, Mollie's only 5 mins up the road, but the riding's pretty rubbish. I'm still terrified of riding her on the roads and she's still spooky too. :-( But if I moved her further from home, the additional cost of petrol etc would be a problem, plus I have to get family or friends to see to her when I'm on an overnight shift so I need her to be convenient for them too.

Thank goodness you were bothe okay after your accident.

Did you come across Clare Molyneux when doing the road safety stuff? She's an old friend of mine, I think she did the BHS road safety thing in Scotland.

I know the name but don't think I ever met her. At the time T was on a livery yard who also did the BHS training and they were a bit short of decently schooled, safe horses who could jump so I used to let them use him for any half decent novices :)

Can I bore you all with a couple from this morning? A bit of a dreich day in the Borders but lovely and still :)

Even managed a sneaky graze

I know he's old, I know he's 'broken' but I wouldn't swap him for anything in the world :)

That sentence says it all.
He is a fabulous horse, I love the pictures. You and he have something very special and unique, the photo's show so much more than a beautiful horse and stunning scenery, I'm really touched.

This morning's additions are beautiful. I think you should do a daily photo-blog of your walks out with the ginger dude for us :)

I should really get into the habit of carrying a camera with me :) Though I think everyone else would get bored of pictures of the ginger yak fairly quickly  :D

ETA my facebook friends are not so lucky, there are zillions of T photos up there :)
