Once again my accident prone horse has hurt his self.

Lucky i did not post the Dressage Entry.

Sometimes i feel i have such bad luck when i plan something and things are going right !

I am sitting at work be a mystery !

I do every thing right...................

Get a dressage traner
Get confidence
Fill out entry for first stressage
Go to post it, but get my boy in from the field first, Front leg hanging and blood pouring !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Huge over reach and slashed leg !!!!!!
All ok though, but looks like 2 weeks off.
AM fed up this always happens.
Am on 24 hour first aid now !
I have a really sad horse !

I'm still going to go and watch the dressage as i think this will help me.

But i'm going saddlery shopping instead this weekend !
 
Look DS just go and buy the saddle to cheer yourself up

My TB mare was the same..how she could have done damage to both her eyelids in two seperate incidents beggers belief....both in her stable we went all over and never found out how she did it,then when she had returned back from the vets was turned out,and was found flipped out over a fence covered in scratches and had opened her eye up again...result late night operation to have eye restiched after being put under.....if it could go wrong I could say been there and wore the T-Shirt.....she had DJD and ringbone as well....it was known that she was a accident on four legs......I really do understand what you will be going through.....just want to curl up and wail "Why Me!!!!"..... Hope he mends quick ,and don't try and stress to much,hard I know and frustrating!!!!!!

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh and there is me thinking it just me with a clumsy horse !

This just always happens when i want to go do something, last year i had to wrap him up in cotton wool before any XC or hunter trail as something would always happen, but he can go XC and not get a mark on him ??????

i just wanted to make sure everyone new it was not me backing out of the stressage

One of my horses is like that. She is now seven and never been to an event, everytime we start some serious work she has a little accident and puts us behind.

I am hoping this is going to be our year, her only problem is mud fever at present and I have begged her to stop getting silly little injuries!!
 
How depressing, at least its only two weeks. Things like this alwayds happen when you have plans. My silly old mare managed to do something every time we planned to go out last summer. If it wasn't her it was the lorry! All adds to the joy of owning a horse.
