I know how you feel - I'm soft too!! Yesterday the day started quite bright so little mare went out unrugged, we had heavy showers all day and I felt soo bad at work as I know that she only has to get a bit damp to start shivering, I was not popular when I got her in last night, altho she was dry by then. So last night I dug out her rain sheet for today, she wore that today as the forecast was again heavy showers. Got her in tonight and the blo@dy heavy rain has gone straight through it and her feet were rattling on the yard she was shivering soo much - was like the arctic in her field!! Shes in now and I know she'll have thawed out by now, but god she makes me feel guilty - you're not the only one!!

Yep brought them in tonight, god am soft last weekend they were out and that WAS IT for sure, then it rained and he was standing by the gate gazing longingly at me!!
damn now i have to muck out in the mornig!!

Ooh I feel really guilty too!!

I nearly left the TA centre tonight to go down the field and bring them back in, the guys talked me out of it claiming I was being soft and that they've got rugs, I still feel bad!!

When I bought my 2 in this evening at 6 in the pouring rain and took their sopping wets rugs off and hung them up and tucked them up in their lovely thick dry beds ... I did not feel guilty

... but when it is nice at that time of the evening I do

I tried to appease my guilt by bringing mine in for a snack and a dry off...but they weren't having any of it! I thought they would be queuing up by the gate, miserable and famished ..but no! Swished their tails, kicked up their heels and bombed off, having established that I had nothing with me... bizarre! They come in of their own accord most days. The rainfall here has been apocalyptic! Expect to see an ark hove into view at any moment..

Ours have been out 24/7 for about a week, but brought them in last week after I saw the weather forecast. Soft I know, but it did forecast a complete deluge for where we are.

Hopefully out again tonight though LOL.

Dont be so soft!

Mine live out all year round.

I took my Welshies rug off yesterday morning as it looked like it was going to be a warm day (and he never gets cold!). It was a gorgeous day in town while I was at work all day, bright sunshine and warm. Come home at 6pm to find it HAILING!! Poor Welshie standing outside shivering, he never shivers! And spoke to a friend who said it had been like that all day! So he's mad with me now

Left mine out in the rain yesterday rugless with food and field shelter and someone felt it necessary to bring her in and stable her.

I'm bloody furious that they should interfere.

Luckily I checked the weather forecast yesterday and left lightweight rugs on the field coccupants! called in last night to check and they were quite happily munching the spring grass in the rain!

I'm constantly getting it wrong at the moment. Poor old Thumper is either too warm or not warm enough. Such a tricky time of year, and the rain yesterday was cold.

My friend & I are the only 2 so far who have changed over to night time turn out & in during the day, have ignored the bitchy comments, they are rugged & this morning were absolutely fine. The main bitcher was busy stabling her & her one friends horse for the night at 3.15pm on Monday!!! some days its 2.30, OMG who feeds & puts their horse to bed at 2.30??? must admit as I looked out & it was lashing down last night I felt a stirring of guilt, but this morning as the pair of them strolled across the field all chilled & happy, I realised there was no need to worry, could do with SOME SUN though.

Merlins out 24/7 but I have left a summer turnout on him as I bathed him on the weekend and dont think he has any waterproofing left in his coat

Seems happy enough and nice and warm but not hot under the rug
