I feel so mean

Just woken my boy up to take away his hay as he has op tomorrow,I feel so mean and incredibly worried especially after watching rolf harris show and seeing how they react after anaesthetic .

It's an awful feeling isn't it? I've been there. What is yours having done?

Hes only 5 but has tear in hind suspensory and needs shock wave prp treatment and will have nerve cut in suspensory.He was also lame in two front feet inflammed coffin and laminae his hooves very very short and hoping gel pads have helped this secondary problem.
Ive been through spavin op with different horse but hes such a sweet lad and I know Im doing right thing but feel really guilty .

Just think you are doing the best for your horse.
He wouldnt be having the operation if he didnt need it.

Hes ok coming home thursday one of the other horses at our yard is in so he has company

Just need to make progress with front feet now,trying to find out more on inflammation in coffin and laminae horses never ending probs

Aw, well at least that's the worst part over with and you can now look forward to him coming home. Mine was diagnosed last year with PSLD in a hind limb and navicular in both fronts as well as bilateral spavin and arthritis in a hind fetlock - diagnosed with all at the same time with a scintigraphy scan! Good luck, I hope yours makes a full recovery.

Holl hocks your horse must have been related to my old horse ,hope things work out for you.
Hes home started well he rolled and knocked his water bucket over within mins. I came back with extra rug to find him and his bedding soaking wet with very surprised look on his face.Good job i was still down there he would have been cold and wet all night with no water.
