I fell off!!!!

Well kinda anyway. Its the first time ive come off Chantin since i backed her and im so pleased that ive got it over and done with now.

Madam didnt want to go over the stile so decided to rear up and catapult over it.

When she landed she turned left sharpish. I didnt expect her to do any of that so wasnt prepared in the slightest. After realising I was going to stay on I thought it best to throw myself of.

Well ive rreally hurt myself!!!

My ring finger on my left hand is just nearly the colour of the rainbow and bent like chuff! cant straigten my finger at all.

Eventually took myself to A&E last night and had my finger exrayed - ive completely broken it! Yes - made a right mess of it. Its broken diagonally from middle knuckle to main knuckle in my hand then from the middle knuckle downwards! Doctor couldnt believe what ive done. So orthapeadic surgeon thinks I might have to have it operated on!!!! Oh [****]. Just called the hospital back as im starting to loose feeling in it so off back to A&E now.

Will let you know how I get on.

Its a good job im right handed - can kinda still type with my left hand first finger and all of my right hand

Hope you're Ok. I did a spiral fracture on my RH ring finger a few years ago, had to have it pinned. Its still wonky!
Hope you are better soon, but REMEMBER YOUR PHYSIO! I didn't, and pay for it now

So the finger isnt very good at all. Unfortunately there was a few emergencies last night so my operation has been put off till tomorrow. Im hoping that there wont be any emergencies tonight or theyll have to put my operation back even further.

So can you all keep your fingers crossed for me (as I cant!) that it all goes ahead for tomorrow please

dont think my hand went anywhere near her feet - remember landing on my knees as ive scuffed my new riding boots

- only thing i can think ive done it on is the reins???

yes very much ouch. manaegd to do a few haynets in case mum cant get to yard and i need someone to put hay out for the girls. twas bloody hard work only using one hand, even though mum had pulled the haylage of the bale for me
