Went into one of the charity shops near me to have a mooch before picking up from son from school and spotted a bridle hanging up behind the till!
It turned out to be a Barnsby pony bridle for £8! It's not a new one, probably from the late 60's or 70's but it was never used and still has it's original old Barnsby blue and silver shop tag hanging from it. Even has a nice little stainless steel loose ring bit with it too.
The leather is soft and supple considering it's about 30-40 years old and I would say, that it's nicer leather than the new Barnsbys I've owned. It's nice brown (not havana though) flat leather.
Doesn't have a noseband though but nosebands didn't seem that common back then for ponies in the horse books from that period that I have!
Anyways, bought it and it fits the 13hh Old Mare that the kids ride.
So chuffed with my bargain!
