A friend of mine has moved his youngster (5yo but recently backed) to my yard for a few weeks, he's going to ride my youngster in return for me doing ground work with his horse and giving him some lessons... he rode my 4yo and popped him over his first jump tonight, and is taking him on his first hack tomorrow, so onwards and upwards! I love it when a plan comes together!
