Ok well my riding mare, despite full work is still getting too much grass so have now resorted to a grazing muzzle!! Does anyone know how long it takes a horse to establish being able to eat through them!! I feel terrible for using it and watching her mooch around the field!

Next stop is one for one of my youngsters!! Welsh Sec D Cross, so a very good doer, I don't want to restrict his field, as hate to see a youngster confined and the other one (warmblood cross) is doing ok, but he's doing too well on the grass so am getting a muzzle for him tomorrow!!

Horrible mummy me!!!!.................

Better to muzzle than have a horse get struck down with lammi or colic, your doing the right thing.
They soon adapt, and they will always look at you sorrowfully but don't fall for it! It really only takes them a day or so, if your watching they will give you the look, try and spy on your horse to make sure it is adapting :D
