I will hold my hands up and admit.... I got it totally wrong.

I have recently bought an unbacked 4yo, I thought came across as quiet and well handled. I have had him nearly a fortnight and he is a total stress head and will take far more time to back than I imagined.

He hasn't got a bad bone in his body that I can tell! Ah love a challenge, to be honest this will be far more a rewarding challenge than I think I expected it to be too.

Sorry pointless post but I think as well as admitting our successes we should also admit when we get it wrong.. keeps us down to earth and proves we are all human :)

He may well be quiet but unsettled. My three year old was the same initially but 8 weeks later is settled and quiet again!

I don't disagree about admitting we have it wrong - when we really have got it wrong. Two weeks for a youngster is nothing. Play with him, get to know him, get him to understand your rules. Then decide whether you're wrong or right.

It's taken nearly 6 years for me to 'get it right' with my boy - he's challenged everything and that's part of his charming personality! (Not that I'm suggesting you wait that long :D)

Good luck with him xx
