aww how cute!
I got my eldest at 6 weeks - she had severed separation anxiety because i smothered her as she was so young when she left mum - so treat him as a dog from day 1 (not a baby!) and he will be fine![]()
My current pup i got at almost 10 weeks and hes an independent little sod - so imo preference!
good luck... he will be a bundle of fun im sure !![]()
second this - I got my puppy years ago when he was 6 weeks and he was a nightmare for separation anxiety, I didnt know any better at the time but would NEVER get a dog at that age again, it didnt really hit me fully until my cat had kittens and they didnt eat solids properley (I didnt force them to by weaning) until they were 5 weeks old. Thankfully I had said from the outset they weren't going until they were 8 weeks so didnt have anyone pressuring me to hand thier kitten over
Whilst generally I would agree with you, chihuahuas are a bit of an exception. Most decent breeders don't let chi pups go until at least 12 weeks, and it is I think a requirement of some breed clubs for their members.
we got a daxie puppy recently and thier rules are after thier second vacc which usually is 12 weeks due to the time they are allowed thier first one.
As for Noah, I think he looked depressed, malnourished, lonely, looks liek he is left all day on his own, all in all I think you should hand him over to a responsible adult that can care from him properly - did I ever tell you how responsible and adult I am..?!!!!
joking apart - I love him!!! what a cutiiieeee!!!! please spam with photos!!!
