Well Mr. Moose had now been cleard by the vets as all better now. We have had the monster of all foot abscesses, it was so bad all the vets from my practice all took turns to visit him to have a nosey.
Huge infection in the bulb of his foot that spred all the way up his leg into his shoulder :( He had a fat leg in the AM and by the PM we had all of the vets there as looked like he had broken it!!
6 vet visits later a round of me injecting him another round of antibiotics, lets not forget all the flamazine, iodine and vet wrap duct tape and cotton wool and poultices we have finally been allowed to go into the field and start riding.
Now I got my bill a whoping £1,170 inc vat (we are missing a visit off this) thank the loard for insurance is all I have to say!! I almost keeled over a huge bill for a foot abscess!!! Thank goodness he is all better, have to say he was not impressed to see his bridle last night I think he though that was it he was a retired 8 year old warmblood!!!!!!!

yes well that was my reaction too!! Do you know that they have charged me different prices for all the examinations as well....apparently for 20 minutes it is more expensive for them to watch him trot up....by about £12.....think this is really naughty they were there for the same amount of time...but i suppose they know that the insurance company are going to pay...they must me minted!!! They have had £2K of my insurance company in the last year
