Aawww yay! I'd love to meet a HHO horse! Carefreegirl has met and ridden Ned (much better than me, I might add lol!) but I've not met anyone else and no one else has come to see Ned! This is why I'm seriously hoping I can get to the meet-up, if it goes ahead :D

Working on it :)

Yay!!! I'm so excited, it was lovely to meet you Lurcherlu :D and I can't wait until Breeze arrives, we were joking about the fact that we can form our own barefoot club at the yard now lol! Lurcherlu also met daisy whippet snapper, and I gave her the grand tour, Ben tried to lick/eat her to death and kept LL entertained with his infamous head banging, nodding along with our conversation! So as of Wednesday I will have a new hacking buddy, Ben will have a new girlfriend and LL and I have already found that we have rather a lot in common ;) so it should be a right laugh. We will also be showing against each other in the same local classes this year.... Fun times ahead! :D :D

Whilst now horseless i would love to meet up with some of you guys(koen exempt from that) not to ride (riding was alway secondry to me) but simply to be around a horse. So miss that horsey time :( Just to talk horsey with someone who under

Congratulations lurcherlu!

I have had the amazing good fortune to meet Spring Feather and some of her chums (the real life horse as well as the forum member). Both are delightful! :)

Ben is totally and utterly lush ..... I'm excited about hacks with you both . Barefoot Taliban has arrived opppps . Queen bee and myself are so similar it's unreal ! Competing against Ben is very scary ! Will be be breezes first show and I bet she will just want t be with him,I'm also taking a Shetland up for the gymkhana so wil be interesting heheh

ha ha, yes he can be one hell of a handsome dude, although today he was looking a little bit more like a yak that had had a mudbath ;) Im sure breeze will take it all very much in her stride, and as we said today, its all just fun and experience for them both. Id best be rolling up my sleeves and finding the horse underneath the mud so we can crack on and get them fit.... whoop whoop :D

QB this is us Boxing Day n town :) think Ben will like his new gf?

Errrr scuse me ! What meet up ??

No organised meet up, dont worry :) I think people were just posting in general about meeting people since LL said that we had met today because LL asked me if I knew of any nice yards with space and my yard had a slot. Over the years Ive met a number of Horse and Hounders, in real life, its always nice :D

shes lovely, i love her colour! I think his hooves will curl in glee :D

This was me and Ebs the year before, just before she got ill. Cant wait to take ben this year :D

Desperately finding a pic of her bottom now to prove she's coloured too, she has pure white bits.... I promise!!! I had a strawberry roan first pony, a coloured cob as a teenager and rode a beautiful half brother to toto who was chestnut all three of those horses were my favourites of a lifetime so I gp have a Frankenstein horse of the three of them and she's perfect :)

Just been to sort her stable out today is moving day :) feel sad leaving mums tho, if we had lots more grazing she would never ever move ..... As she's never been so happy as where she is now

Thanks :) she settled straight away....... Stupid day to move her as had to ride her after a month off from stitches on her flank and then two weeks in from the weather, bronced lie a goodun for the first time n her life and reared like a Lippizaner ..... She's happy to be fed and in her stable :)

well, ben had a 'duvet day' today as the weather is 'orrid. when I got up there this evening LL and Breeze were settling in nicely into their new digs after rears, rodeos and nearly being turned into roadkill by my ex  I half heartedly mucked ben out because he was being an oaf in his stable and standing wherever I wanted to muck out (grrr!) and am a wee bit worried because his roof is starting to lift at the back  so uncle R is going to fix that tomorrow. After a quick catch up and setting the world to rights LL went home and once benjamin was sorted I gave Breeze a kiss goodnight, read her a bedtime story and turned her light out. We have a full house at Aunty G's yard once again and all is right in the world!

Well almost all is right, we just need this fleckin rain to stop so we can all go out for a hack!

We made it!!!! We did it!!!! LL & Breeze and Ben & I went for a lovely hack this morning, the weather played nice and stayed clear and no rain for the entire hack... Ben was a little stop starty and spooky and put in one buck about 50 yards into the ride, but he hasnt been out for well over three months so Im very proud of him. Whenever he had a wimp moment, Breeze took the lead like a pro as for the first ride neither of us wanted to pressure our babies. On the second bridle path they really got their nerves tested... it was hugely boggy and runs alongside and over a river which was full up and fast flowing, neither of them were hot on the idea of going over the granite slab that serves as a bridge! So LL got off and led Breeze over, ben followed. Once LL got back on, we then notice that the bridle path is near as damn it blocked by fallen trees and branches! My turn to get off and lead ben, we managed to weave through the scary monsters, he really kept his head about him which was really good as there wasnt much space to get through. Then it was home james! The entire ride was about an hour and a half and for a 3yr old thats spent a month on box rest and just moved to a new yard and a four year old that hasnt been ridden in over three months, I dont think LL or I could be happier with how they behaved.

Thank you LL for a lovely ride, lovely company and motivation! :D
