Youch does my head hurt ! I was changing the rug on my friends horse this morning. I was bending over doing the straps up etc and he turned around and bit the top of my head with full force. He really went for me. I didnt know where I was for a minute or two. My head was bleeding and it hurt like hell. I called my other half and he came an attended my wounds lol. I was worried that I needed stitches. Other half said I should get away it and cleaned it up for me. I cant brush my hair in that area lol. Very sore and bit of headache. Tetanus not up to date............ oh no !!! bloomin horses.

Ouchie doesn't sound so nice :( poor you
You should really go and get a tet injection if your's is overdue just to be on safe side.
Does your friends horse always behave like that?

Hope you are OK though

Owww! Agreeing with all the advice given, go and get it checked out. Teeth are a breeding ground for bacteria, wounds can become infected very quickly. I got bitten by a cat a few years ago, I ignored it and ended up in hospital with blood poisoning :(
Hope you feel better soon xx

If you've had five tetanus shots in the course of your life you won't need any more. If it is a severe and contaminated bite you might need tetanus immunoglobulin (not the usual tetanus jab) and that is given by A and E only.

You'll have had three tetanus shots as a baby and one more at five, leaving only one more needed in your lifetime. These days you usually get the fifth at school leaving age.

Bloody hell that sounds awful. Definitely get the tetanus jab done. Wonder if the horse has ulcers? That's one hell of an extreme reaction and could have been an awful lot worse for you. Take care as you may well suffer with delayed shock later on.
