I rode my super spooky mare to my friends yard, in a howling gale. It was all off road except for about 200 yards, and I met some lovely people on the way

My horsey neighbours non horsey husband came rushing out as he saw my mare pass his window and thought she was on her own and had got out, so was going to try and catch her. Then she negotiated fallen over wheelie bins (one was waving its lid at her

) Then met a lovely lady on the track walking her dog, who passed the time of day, then a man who said how much he likes horses

The track has been resurfaced with a horse friendly surface and the mare walked through running water, which six months ago would have caused a melt down! Had a lovely cup of coffee with friend, while the mare had hay. Came home the same way and met the men who are making the track nice, with their mini digger and dumper truck, all well. From the gold course I can see the motor way, which was blocked by big bales which had fallen from the waggon

Made our way home unimpeded

Ah, a dad like mine, we received a cement mixer as a house warming present!

How useful!

I did drop big hints actually, when he did somework for us the other week, Dad is now 82 and I worry about asking him to do work around the place, so am building up my collection of power tools
laugh.gif
Biggest problem I have is that they are too big for my dinky hands
