Sometimes I really do hate dogs.
How can anyone trip over a 30kg dog?
God knows, but I just have whilst walking from the kitchen to the living room carrying my dinner. 80% of said dinner ended up over my new (2 month old) open laptop; 10% went up a relatively newly papered wall and the remaining 10% on the carpet - light coloured, of course.
Not only was it a meal I was really looking forward to but it was a highly messy one too. I picked up some marked down fresh scallops to use today, bought some chorizo sausage and fried it all off in a balsamic vinegar reduction and served over some roasted vine tomatoes on top of a bed of puy lentils mixed with natural yogurt and freshly chopped herbs.
The last hour has been spent using kitchen roll and cotton buds to try and save the laptop keyboard. Needles were necessary to evacuate the lentils from the 'air vents' at the back of the laptop. I am posting this purely as an exercise to see if all the keys are still working. Not sure I dare risk powering it off. My plan is to place it in front of a portable air con unit I have to see if that will help dry out any remaining debris. Any other ideas appreciated though.
I haven't had a takeaway for years, but I think a home delivery may be in order tonight. Does anyone do home delivery wine? (Had a shower earlier and am in my dressing gown and can't bring myself to get dressed and go out again.)
HELP!
