I hate electric fencing!!

So the half of land that ponies have been in since summer, was all nicely divided up into lovely sections to be rotated. I imagine there was over 2500m set up in total (2 strands).

Anyways... que lots of blizzard snow stuff, and over night nearly all of it gets flattened! So have so gather it up and take rest down so it doesnt flap across the field and get buried in the snow.

So anyways snow finally gone today, think great can get some of it back up.

WRONG!!!

I spent 2 hours in pouring rain, untangling the stuff! In the end i got fed up and got a bit savage with some scissors!! SO i now have many many bits of elec. fencing, and still whats seems like a million miles to untangle!!

Snowflake kept grabbing bunches of it and running across the field with it, que me getting more annoyed.

The ponies are in tonight but now have the whole field still.

Im thinking i'll leave it till they go over the other side.

Also any ideas on how to poo pick a 4 acre field with 2 or 3 weeks worth of poo from 3 horses?!?!?

Poor girl started on it today, think she was going to stay out there all day, had to tell her to stop, and she'd done a corner! lol

harrow it! Chuck em all out on it and don't section off till grass starts growing again,it'll be better weather then!

Dont! I managed to do the front 15 meters of each field today.
Hours in the pouring rain and it only looks marginally better!

We've spoke about harrowing it, i've brought them in tonight, gonna keep them in for a week or so to try to get back on it a bit, and i have another field to put them in, so think i might attack the electric fencing again and put them out over the other side, and harrow the front!!

ERghh.... and i want to finally get a ride this weekend
