I love rosie, I would be tempted to look at her. not all dealers are bad and you never know what you may find there.
The freisians look great but for having fun with I think rosie looks great

Im not really fussed on freisans or iberian/spanish horses tbh. I really like the cob mare looks fab fun! I also really like the coloured that someone (sorry forgot who) posted. I also would not be put off by going to a dealer, think sometimes you get told more cr*p by owners! Good luck :D

Thanks all! My last 2 horses I bought because they were the right 'sort' for competing - biiiiiig sports horses and both have been a nightmare. The other horse I bought without getting vetted and everyone thought I was mad. Except he turned out to be the most safe, coolest dude you have ever met! I just really like the little mare so I might go have a gander.

Of course if anyone sees/knows of anything else that might suit, please do let me know!

Another vote for the cob mare - there is something about her that looks nice and worth seeing. If it is a dealer, then I'd try and get some info on them beforehand though.

And I like the ones posted by Fools Motto and S4sugar. The stubley hollow ads read like genuine honest ads (for a change!). On one of FMs they say there is a 7 day money back warranty. I don't know who they are and wouldn't buy a horse that I wasn't 100% sure about hoping to use the warranty, but it's more than many others offer.

So nice that people get involved and find hosses for you on this forum. And if you visit any of these but don't like em for yourself but would recommend them to others, let us know OP :)

I know - it is really nice! Especially as I really struggle to look at an advert and think about what something could be, so I love it when people say "Have you thought about...." because I probably haven't!! And I will let everyone know what they are like if I try them!!

The advert for the Andalusian is ringing alarm bells for me. The photos are awful and she doesn't even look particularly Iberian. For starters chestnut Andalusians are very rare. However, if she is a nice horse that isn't really an issue and of course my instinct may be completely wrong here.
I like the second friesian and the allrounder. My only concern is that jumping 1.10 may be a bit much for both.

Have to agree about the "Iberian" - looks like a partbred to me... however chestnut Andalusians aren't as rare as you think! And so this one could well jump!

I like the second chestnut and the last coloured. The coloured mare sounds great but from the description I reckon she needs to be doing ALOT of work every day. Some of the TB's are gorge (I do love a TB) but I think too slight for me. I love the 13 YO TB but his age would worry me... If he has done it all, does that mean high mileage and therefore breakdown imminent? I know that you can't generalize but thats whats put me off older horses.

None strike me as particularly suited for jumping going from the descriptions of the adverts, but from the lot I like the first Friesian. The second Friesian is quite BTV in the photos and that makes me worry about the abilities of the rider who has brought on the young horse (did they not notice he was BTV before posting those photos?!!). The PRE is non-descript and very poor photos. The mare looks lovely and possibly a lot more settled in temperament from the others.

Sure they have some ability but I would be looking more at those breeds if I wanted to compete in pure dressage ( never hurts to be on a flashy black horse!) but not my first choice if I really wanted to go BS. I think Fresians and Iberians are beautiful but would not look at them for eventing, which is my "thing". Caveat by saying I know of some top event horses which were a Andalusian x TB. I have always hankered after an Iberian but need to get eventing out of my system first!

I would be very surprised if the spanish mare was a PRE, she is by a good stallion but a) she is chesnut and chesnut PRE's go for HUUUUGE amounts of money and b) she does not look like a purebred. I suspect she is a partbred. Partbred's CAN and do make eventers (there is one that represented GB in Denmark I believe) :)

Go and have a sleep on it.... then tomorrow, review the ones that stuck in your mind. Make the call and go and see.
