I hate to be depressing but.....

I know! Sad times! Longest day yesterday.... soon it will be cold....muddy.... wet.... frozen.... Makes me shiver thinking about it :-(

I was just thinking the other day that it didn't seem two minutes since we were writing that the days were gettng longer in January to cheer each other up, but you didn't have to go and write this!!

Don't be so miserable, we've still got July Aug and Sept to moan about the rain and lack of hay yet!

...and it was me that posted 'Has anyone noticed the days are getting longer??'....

...the days are now getting slowly shorter...

:(

Enjoy them while you can!

Keep happy :):)

Imagine this: Its a crisp sunny winter's morning and the birds are tweeting. You turn your horse out in his fresh clean winter rug all snug and lovely and you watch as he walks off into the misty dewy distance to graze. Holding his headcoller in your hand, you feel very peaceful as you breathe in the sharp cold fresh country air.

OR you do the same but also realise that your boots have leaked from the wet grass and your socks are now all soggy

Any luck on making you feel better......? :o :D:D

I like it too :o

:D

This pic is when the snow first started, just before we got a few days of skool, when it REALLY came down.....the hose pipes were of course frozen solid! So it was fill the barrels up! We then used two massive 150 litre barrels, having this truck saved us hell of a lot of bother...even when the snow was reaching 3ft in places, me beast saved the day and ploughed through!

No don't, I hate the winter!!! Although I do love tucking my horses in at night, with a cuppa tea and chatting away to them! Wheras in the summer, they come to see what food I have and then swiftly (when I have nothing), wander back down the field to chomp on the grass, leaving me talking to myself!!!
