Im stuck at the moment! I was really happy with my horses progress before christmas! We were practiceing dressage moves and also he was nice and fit! So my problem is that the weather is too bad for my gg to be put out for more than 1 Hr a week(sometimes its not worth it as he stands by the gate waiting to come in as there is not much grass anyway) anyway they have now decided to digg the paddock up and put a new surface down which on my yard could take ages! So no where to school or even lunge!

So by the time i get up to my yard its dark and not really the time to go on a nice long hack! we tend to just ride round the village a 20min ride of mainly walk a little trot! What can i do to get my horsey fit again without a paddock! Bit of a whinge really as i know that there really isnt much that i can do! I dont want to give him a break as he will explode with not being out in the field either! ARRRRH what to do help me if you can!

Horrid time of year eh??

Personally, I'd put him out, and just wait till it gets ligher. I would also maybe look for another yard that has better facillities????

Yes i never thought of hiring out the school down the road! Ill go up tonight and ask how much it is i hate this time of year its poo will also look for another yard but i dont really want to move him before i go on holiday so i guess the best solution is to hire another paddock!

I forgot to mention that there is a little turnout paddock that you can usem for an hr at a time and he goes in there everyday to let a little steam off!
