Been thinking for a while now that perhaps i should give some dressage a go as I want Flash to be a nice all rounder, but I've never done dressage before, and even a walk trot test fills me with terror! Now why is that when I'm fine SJ and XC!? Please reassure me that its not that terrifying! I just know i'd get lost and can't follow directions! Is this a completely irrational fear?

Im exactly the same! its the thought of being confined to a diddly little arena that scares me

and i hate people watching me, so i guess that doesnt help when i have judges watching our every move!

I'm not sure what it is that terrifies me so much, I don't mind showing (apart from the stress of trying to keep Flash clean) but I guess there are other people in he ring to take attention away from me!

I know what you mean i call it stressage, but belive me it does get better the more you do it. I have gone wrong before i just put it down to experience and went on with the next test, the best way to deal with it is not to panic that is when it will all go wrong.

Yup I'm the same. Send me x country/show jumping on anything that can jump and I'll have a ball but dressage...... No way - hate it! I stick to jumping my mare as she feels the same
