Always on here I have recommended Greyhound Rescue West of England, they are a brilliant organisation who match dogs exactly to your requirements and are incredibly friendly, helpful and supportive.
But now I can honestly say that they have an equal
If you want a sweet, well trained, well behaved rescue who fits in with no problem at all - ask Cayla
Amy had her first times off the lead today - I must admit the first one was by mistake, I was half asleep and letting them off in the paddocks before any horses went out, and let Amy off too
But she was so so good, coming to call whenever I asked her, ignoring the two horses which I had failed to notice in the top paddock
, and having a run around with Flick and Islay
So we went on a proper walk this morning and she was let off again, this time with a pocketful of biscuits to ensure obediance
There was no need for biscuits, she behaved perfectly, having a nice run around but always coming back when called, and if she ran ahead she would stop and look around to make sure I was still following
I have never had a rescue who has fitted in so easily and so well, so I would say that EVERYONE should get their dogs from Cayla
They have all just had a pigs ear as a treat for being so great, and for the first time I have found a disadvantage of having 3 dogs - pigs ears come in packs of two
Perhaps there might be room for one more....
