after managing to grab the flexi-lead of a jackrat that had pulled away from its inattentive owner and charged across the road snarling his intent on taking a chunk out of my boy. Nasty piece of work, luckily no damage done, only a bit of fur lost, but omg he meant business. My dog just Scoobie-dood behind my daughter and the whole incident seems to have gone over his head. I do wish people would have more control over their dogs, or at least put a muzzle on them if they know what they're like.

Did you suggest they muzzle the dog when it's being walked?? It could have caused a nasty accident . Maybe report to the local dog warden just in case there is a future incident?
