I'm a little bit confused what to make of this situation. For a long, long time now, the Carrot Lady has been putting me in Pony Jail every morning. At first, I tried very very hard not to go: I made a very looooong neck, I tried to stand really firmly on all four of my feet, and I even tried to bite the Carrot Lady---but that just got my nose smacked.
Then, she started giving me my blue bucket that has food in(!) in Pony Jail, and while I have the feeling that maybe I was tricked, I do like that blue bucket.
The very worst thing about Pony Jail, other than that there's hardly any grass, is that I'm so alone when I'm in there!
But then some days ago, that changed!
A mare moved in with me, and although she makes horrible ears at me if I don't stay away from her haynet, she's otherwise quite nice!
But what's really confusing me is this: the Carrot Lady said that she is my twin! I'm not sure what a twin is, but she is only a bit taller than me, but not quite as wide as me, and she is also brown, which I am too, and she also has a black mane and tail, which I have too, but she doesn't have a white triangle on her nose. She has some blotches instead, on her face. There is another mare that comes to stay with me in Pony Jail, who has brown and white blotches all over, but this mare, the twin one, she only has some white blotches on her face. That's pretty clear, isn't it?
I have a white triangle on my nose, which the Carrot Lady says is better.
Anyway, now the Carrot Lady says I need to make circles in the Square Place with a Roof On, together with the brown twin mare! Because we're twins! I've made circles with another pony before, actually, three other ponies, but not all at the same time. But she didn't call them my twins, although two of them were brown like me too. Also, this twin mare is supposed to be from Spain---or maybe her parents were; I'm a bit confused by that, too---and I'm from Ireland! Is this possible?
So today, we went for a trot in the woods, the kind where we really trot all the way around except when we met the yellow barking things, and before that the lady with the many many barking things---there were so many barking things, it was more than I have feet! It was as many as I and the Carrot Lady have feet together!
And just as we were coming back from that, before the bit where I get to go really really fast, the twin mare suddenly appeared around a bend, also going for a trot in the woods, but the opposite direction!
She jumped so high when she saw me, I think maybe she got confused, and thought that I was one of the shiny square things that's in the Square Place with a Roof On, the kind of shiny square thing where you see yourself in it!
I thought that was pretty funny, and I wasn't scared at all to see her there, because I heard her first, but I guess she wasn't paying attention!
I'm just a much cleverer pony than she is.
Pony Jail is much better with company, I have to say, but I still prefer the big field, with my regular friends.
