I have a very special dog...

Jake's very sensitive to change, no idea why as non of the other dogs have been and he's not looked after any differently

Yesterday we got a new clothes line holder. The current ones are green, this one is red. You'd think to was a dog eating monster the way he legged it back in when he saw it So I stood guard so the scary dog eating pole couldn't attack and he managed to wee before legging it back in.

Spent several minutes sat next to the pole with some tasty treats and he eventually managed to sit near it without being eaten

He has the same reaction if a piece of furniture is moved --> OMG the side table has moved --> Can't go in the living room --> OMG the side table was moved into the back room --> Can't go outside as I have to pass the table to get to the door

Please tell me I'm not the only one with a special dog

My young one wuffs at anything he thinks is placed where it shouldn't be/not where it was before. Then I start laughing at him and he looks embarrassed

Panic not!! I feel useful now..a purpose to my life...I too own a special polar bear..you aren't alone! I think they must be spending too much time around horses(horse people..ok person..tho i'm not taking the blame for your boy!).its the only excuse. Like some women unwittingly all sync together with periods if they spend time in eachothers company... ..the herd mentality spreads. Mass spooks are the same. Its like passive smoking..but passive spooking. They MUST be inhaling spooking unwittingly from our horses, via us. That is the only logical explanation i can come up with....

I also have a 'special' dog- she once yelped because I dropped a tissue on her- an unused, normal tissue. She also has a really strange habit of every time she finishes her dinner she has to rub the top of her head on the floor- occasionally doing an accidental forward roll she also cocks her leg like a male dog, or, if the mood takes her, a full handstand to wee up a tree She is a complete wimp, she's spookier than all the horses put together and if anything moves that shouldn't then she's 10 miles away shaking like a leaf just in case it was a monster out to get her
