Nah, I can't imagaine an 'anthropomorphic personification' being anyone's Mum! Her Mum might be called Susan though! lol

As for the horse, how about dipping into Norse mythology and naming him after Sleipnir, "the best horse among gods and men"

I think names tend to come to you once you get to know a horse, it might take 6 months though, I once had a foal called Juno's Baby because we just couldn't find a name that suited her.

Is this a stable name or a show name you are looking for? Anything that rhymes with his current name?

For a show name I have always wanted to call a horse "The ------------ Horse" (insert appropriate colour)
