...and put a rug on Mollie!

She only wore her rug once last winter, on a day which combined freezing cold, strong wind and rain. The rest of the winter she was out in all weather naked as long as the fields were open.

However, she hasn't quite got her full winter woollies yet, and the forecast tonight is vile. There's not much shelter in her field and I couldn't bare to think of her soaked and shivering.

It also means that if I wake in the night to hear the rain pounding on the window, I won't feel quite as guilty. ;)

So have I! Ungrateful git tried to bite me when I adjusted it earlier. If he does it again, I'l take it off, and he can freeze!

I have cracked today too! and it goes against everything I want to do! its the middle of sept for goodness sake! but it was forecast to rain all day and only be 6 degrees tonight, I couldn't think of them being wet in 6 degrees! they do have a shelter but they have been stood in the field with their bums in the hedge!! crazy ponies!

oh and im quite hard and don't over rug, ever!

Mines been in a rainsheet since weds :-( he's being clipped next Sunday though do he'll be in rugs properly then. I hate putting rugs on before he's clipped.

Yupp, Neddy has his rain sheet on :( though his winter coat is none-existent!!

*le sigh* I feel I'll have to be getting heavier rugs out VERY shortly...though since he's out of work, no clipping this year!

If Mollie had her full woollies, I wouldn't worry so much maybe. But she's only semi-fuzzy yet and I worry that the combination of wind and wet would be very chilling, even though the actual temperature's not to bad.
