After numerous problems, I decided to leave the yard I am at, I am going to be at the same yard as my daughter which will be nice.
Had a worm count done and it came out negative so he can go straight into field.

I am rather upset at having to leave my friends there, plus my dog wont be able to run loose at the new place either, so her little life is now going to be spoilt.

Either I have got less tolerant of things or they genuinly have got worse, ie
yobs threatening to slash the horses, feilds set on fire, school floodlight pole vandalised, people insisting on feeding the horses even though there are numerous signs, then cutting up really nasty when asked not to, summer is comeing and now there are TWO cricket pitches, which means a lot more traffic/public illegal parking on a narrow road and more cricket balls into our fields.

There are numerous other things as well like field allocation ect but which I cant be bothered to go into.

Anyway, things came to a head last weekend when I had to bail out two small thin Asian chaps (think they were Shrylankan), very nasty looking group of garbage about 6 or 7 of them were threatening the two guys, I poked my nose in as I could see they were well outnumbered and outsized, one of the younger peices of **** came up and spat on them and then legged it to behind the bigger ones ( yea very brave), of course I was getting told to fffffff off and mind my own business ect ect, anyway I took the Asian lads onto our yard and through to the Rangers office to save them getting beaten up as that was the way it was heading, or course I asked where Security was, well due to cuts, there isn't any at weekends anymore:(, well that is crazy, because as soon as the sun comes out, so does the garbage, next day a group were dropping their trousers doing moonies and throwing stuff at a Ranger, last year we had a Peado playing with himself while watching children, plus knife crime ect ect, so last weekend final straw for me, no Security is a joke.

So with a heavy heart I leave my yard buddies, one who has been a particulary good friend who I like a lot.
So onto new pastures, it has a decent school with brill jumps and a cross country course, barn style stables and very neat and tidy and well run, and being close to where I am leaving, I can still do the same hacks, just prob about 10mins extra to the new yard.

If you read all that lot hot choccies all round.:D

Blimey! What an awful sounding place it sounds like it was at times.

Hope it gets better there, but also that the new yard is as fab as it sounds.

Im surprised you havnt moved sooner! Owning a horse cant be enjoyable if you have to put up with all that

Good luck at the new place, it sounds like the right thing for you and your horse. Its always sad leaving friends behind but you'll enjoy your horse more when you don't have to deal with all that **** you're up against now. :)

HHO won't even let me say craaaaaaap

Sounds like you are doing the right thing. As sad as it will be leaving your good friends, being at the same yard as your daughter must be a huge bonus!:)

Good luck at your new place Pedantic, it sounds great and of course with your daughter there already you know whether the sales pitch was the truth (or not). I am desperately searching for a new place myself at the moment because the people who I share with are so idle and awful (they do drive by checks on their horses), so congratulations on finding somewhere suitable.

Glad you've managed to find somewhere nice, having to upsticks and move is horrid, but from the sounds of it you made the right decision. At least you are close enough to meet your buddies for hacks etc.
Good luck in the new place, and by the way, can i join your new clique?! :D;)

Good luck on your move, im sure it will be fine, it does sound like a good move tbh and your only 10 mins from your old mates so im sure you could hack and meet up?

Hooray!!!
Thats good news, i hope you really enjoy you new yard.
We have a football/ cricket field next to ours, and i have seen one of our horse chasing a cricket ball that has been hit into the field.
We are also right next to a carpark, and i now what you mean when you tell people off for feading the horses, and they get shirty with you, my OH says to them, well you would'nt feed a rotweiler, over a gate would you, so why do you feel the need to feed my horses, and no, he would'nt like a ****** ham sandwhich!!!

Good luck in your new home.

Dear Lord it sounds like a war zone and far too much access to idotic members of the public! At least I only have to deal with five year olds trying to feed the pony birthday cake. Good luck with the move, hopefully you will be able to enjoy your horse a bit more now.

Sounds like the right thing... and that there will be noone left there by the sounds of it!! I must say the whole security/public issues worried me when I was there too, and it's much more peaceful without it!!

Where are you moving to? PM me if you want :)

Ah, just read C_B's post. Yup, don't blame you for moving! Riding round there once and some kids were chasing some neds and throwing stones - they shifted their ar£es when Dizz came galloping up the track! Got Security (they were there then!) and got them out, but no doubt they were back later :(

Wonder where you've gone to that's ten mins hack away.... :)
