Well.... went to the Festival of the Horse sale yesterday and having thought it had been a whole waste of time i caught this boy free schooling and just had to have him.

He is only 3 but my he certainly caught my eye, can you guess what breed he is

The chestnut didnt measure unfortunately. Go on Fihunt this ones easy a coupleof clues for you
he currently stands 15.1 and as you cant really tell from the pic he has a good amount of bone

He will be backed over the next few months and come out next year early on as an intermediate show hunter then hopefully by the middle of the season small hunter.
His dad is called Castle Gizmo if that gives you any more clues

between you so far you have guessed the breed, it isnt just one person though.
He is the sweetest little boy with the edge needed for the showring. Hope hes sweet when it comed to backing him..

I'm rubbish, i give you too many clues
He is out of a tb(usa) mare by a connie stallion - who by the way is just absolutely stunning.
He has the bone of a connie with the elegance of the tb so think i got a good combination
Hopefully when i go at the weekend, I will get some better pics
Any cc critics more than welcome

OOh - a bay connie cross gelding - just what I wanted - (so why have I got a coloured cob mare, a grey connie gelding and a chestnut warmblood filly....????).

Did you go to the Brightwells Connie sale yesterday? Was it good?

The majority of the stock at the sale yesterday was poor quality there was the odd one or 2 that were lovely but i think buyers were disappointed so in the main it was not a good sale, reserves of £4000 on poor under developed 4 yr old ferrell connies meant not a lot sold! I was honestly thinking what an absolute waste of time until i came across this little fella, paid through the nose for him £2k over reserve and £1500 over my limit i had set myself but i think that goes to show that if everyone wanted him he must be a good sort. There was a couple of broodmares that were nice and fetched good money £4400 and £5400 in foal and nice quality sorts other than that a handful sold they just didnt reach their reserves. My friend bought a stunning 2yr old but again paid for the priveledge as he too was sought after
