I have had some amazing horsey experiences on holiday :-)

I have just come back from Lincolnshire.

First I went for a lovely relaxing hack through the wolds with my sister on a lovely highland mare.

Then I went to the heavy horse sanctuary where the wrolds TALLEST horse lives and I got the priviledge of catching, leading and grooming him! I will try and upload 'photos. I also had the embarrassment of being asked to explain grooming to the rest of the visitors.

Then I went on my beach ride and I did it - I beat my nerves and galloped flat out and my pony raced past the other 5 horses and then I had an interesting time slowing him up.

It sounds like you had a fantastic time

How come you were allowed to catch / handle the horse at the sanctuary - do you know the peopel who run it (I am jeleous)

No, it's a hands on sanctuary - anyone can get involved, but as I was the only horsey person visiting I got the big boy!

It was - it's called the Northcote Heavy Horse Sanctuary - I think! It's near Spilsby, not a million miles from Skegness.
