At the puppy!

I was literally crying with laughter

First of all he fetched me his steel dinner dish, so I took it off him and gave him his toy. Then I was fetched the (empty) water bowl, so I took it off him and gave him a toy, and stupidly filled it

He then fetched me his full water bowl, cue water EVERYWHERE and emergency water mop-up proceedings

For which Otto insisted on helping with, lots of little wet foot prints everywhere!

Then he went mental, running round the house, major loopy , with his squeaky ball, it was hilarious, right up until the point he threw the ball into the air and hit my full pint glass of coke on the table

HUGE coke stain on the light carpet

So I got a towel to mop up the mess, still weak with laughter, he decided it was clearly a tug game (which he is NOT allowed to play, because I dodn't want a gundog that decides tug with a duck is a good game!!) and I was too weak to take the bloody thing of him, but managed to eventually!

Thankfully he is now shattered and fast asleep

Roll on Monday when he can get out for proper walks!

our male springer bear sounds just like otto.
head case of the highest order!
and i dont think impending fatherhood is likely to cure him as there could be many new small "toys" to play with once they find thier feet!

He isn't normally too bad, he is really good at settling down, but I think 3 weeks of being cooped up is finally starting to take it's toll on his sanity!

The place we bought him from had a huge farm for him to gallop round, but as he has no injections, and there are strange dogs coming in and out of the farm we live on, we didn't want to risk it, which has cause his exercise to be really limited. But first walks can happen on Monday, and I can't wait

a springer that hasn't been out the house for 3 weeks????
how are you still sane???
if bear didnt leave the house for 3 weeks i simply wouldnt HAVE a house left!!!!

He has been out, but literally for 15 mins (at the most) at a time!! He hasn't been able to run like a fool either, because the drive leads to a livery yard one end and a main road the other!

Tonight is the first time he has really had a loopy since we got him!

It will be so nice to have a zonked pup next week!

Nope, I had that pleasure after only a few days, there is a huge stinky muddy puddle right outside the house!
grin.gif
He enjoys cuddles after rolling in it so much more!!

Our old springer used to wallow in mud, he would lie down in muck and put his head right under! He would swim under water too!

I love it when they have mad moments like that. As you say you shoudl be correcting them but are laughing too much. We can't leave a water bowl in the house at present, Evie jumps in it with both front feet and paddles everywhere, and then attacks the mop when you try to clear up. Life is never dull with a puppy

I was going to laugh at all your woes...until I realised mine is coming home in 2 weeks and I will have the same problems...oh well, gotta love them

Take pics next time..
