I have just been reminded...horses stink

Cathy and her daughter, Clare kindly braved the winds, the terrible rain and bought Flint back over to Weston Lawns today... (huge hugs and thank you's!)

So, I got up the yard tonight and was greeted by SMELL!!
The wind was blowing peoples barrows over, they were drenched wet, cold, hungry, covered in mud...and I was so glad I was back in the I own a horse clique.
The last time I remember being this happy was when I owned him the first time!! Sounds silly but I really am happy as a pig in you know what.
My stable wall has been re-erected, although it was a bit of a shock when I saw it, its a patch work of brick, breezeblock and wood!! But aslong as he is warm, dry and fed, I suppose the little man doesnt mind.
I still stand by what I said though- They and we dont have stink!!

He wasn't too sure about going up the ramp but a bucket of feed and patience worked fine and I travelled in the back with him and he was fine.His stable was nice and warm and he had a full haynet and I think I saw him smile.Its Townfields sale next 3 days hope you are not going!
Anyone else wanting short term livery or schooling livery give me a call.Flint was a saint to look after, shame you never got to ride out with Claire.
Good luck we will give him a pat when we are next there which I think is next week for a dressage clinic.

I am glad he was a saint for you, and I wish you all the best for the livery- you both are fantastic horse people.

And yes.... I will be going opn saturday- I am spending the birthday money I have not got yet!!
 
I'm dead jealous that I have missed Townfields sale, will have to try very hard to treat myself at the Bordeaux International this weekend, well, tomorrow in fact!!!! Sorry to highjack your thread Flintus, I have been watching with interest!
